# EventPics

> EventPics is an event photo sharing service. The host creates a private album, guests scan a
> QR code and upload their photos and videos in original quality, straight from the browser
> without an account or an app install. Apps for iOS and Android are optional and add background
> uploads and notifications.

EventPics is a registered EU trademark (EUIPO).

## What it does

- One shared album per event, reachable through a link or an automatically generated QR code.
- Guests upload from any phone browser. No account, no app, no messenger group.
- Photos and videos keep their original resolution. Nothing is compressed on upload or download.
- The host controls who may view, upload, download or delete, and can require uploads to be
  approved before they appear.
- Albums are private. They are not indexed by search engines and not connected to any social network.
- Live slideshow on a TV or projector during the event, and an automatically generated highlight
  video afterwards.
- Automatic Google Drive backup: every upload is additionally stored in the host's own Google Drive
  and stays there permanently. EventPics uses Google's restricted "drive.file" scope, so it only
  ever sees the files it created itself and never the rest of the user's Drive, and it deletes nothing.
- Bulk download of a whole album as a ZIP file.
- Professional use: Folder Uploader for photographers and photo booths, a public API for automatic
  uploads, a live preview mode for photo booth screens, and embeddable photo widgets.

## Pricing

- Free plan: 2 GB of storage, roughly 500 phone photos. No credit card required.
- Free events have a limited event phase (6 weeks for an instant start; for a planned date the
  phase begins 2 weeks before and ends 4 weeks after). Content is deleted afterwards, unless the
  Google Drive backup is connected, which keeps everything permanently in the host's own Drive.
- Premium is a subscription with no minimum term, cancellable at any time, purchased through the
  App Store, Google Play or the payment provider Paddle. With Premium active, events do not expire.
- Guests never pay anything.

## Privacy and hosting

- GDPR compliant. Events and users in the EU are hosted on EU servers.
- No advertising, no selling of user data.

## Languages

Six full languages with the complete set of pages: English (at the site root), German (/de/),
Spanish (/es/), French (/fr/), Italian (/it/) and Portuguese (/pt/). The start page additionally
exists in Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Polish and Swedish.
Equivalent pages are linked to each other with hreflang.
