Everything this QR code generator can do

The generator is completely free, with no account, no volume limit and no watermark. These are all the settings:

  • Text or URL: any link and any text becomes a QR code, whether website, photo gallery, menu, phone number or message.
  • Two QR designs: default as a classic square, or a heart QR code in a real heart shape.
  • Six dot shapes: square, dots, rounded, extra rounded, classy and classy rounded.
  • Five outer eye shapes: square, circle, rounded, extra rounded and dotted.
  • Five inner eye shapes: square, circle, rounded, extra rounded and dotted.
  • Centre logo: upload your own image as PNG, SVG or JPG and set the margin around it in pixels.
  • Free colour choice: foreground and background colour with a colour picker, the heart design starts in red.
  • Download size 100 to 3000 pixels: from a small social media graphic to large format print.
  • PNG download: a ready made image file for web, presentations, chat and photo printing.
  • SVG vector download: scales to any size without quality loss, ideal for posters, signs, invitations and print shops.
  • Live preview: every change to text, shape, colour or design shows up immediately.
  • High error correction: the heart design uses level H so the code still scans on fabric, wood or behind glass.
  • Prefill by link: ?data=https://your-domain.tld fills the text field automatically, ?design=heart opens the heart design right away.
  • Static QR codes: the code points straight at your link, with no redirect service, no tracking and no expiry date.
  • Generated in the browser: your link is not sent to a server to create the QR code.

Create a heart QR code: something few generators can do

A QR code in a heart shape is hard to find, and where it exists it is usually just an image: a normal square code placed inside a heart graphic. Here it works the other way round. The real QR code is rotated by 45 degrees and forms the centre and the tip of the heart as a diamond. The two round lobes on top are built from modules on the very same grid, so the shape reads as one continuous code from the tip to the outer edge.

All data modules, the three large eyes and the alignment pattern stay exactly as encoded, only the presentation is rotated. That is why the heart QR code scans with any ordinary phone camera. On top of that it uses the highest error correction level, so printing on fabric, wood or cardboard still works.

Where a heart shaped QR code works best

Please note: the heart design does not support a centre logo. The space is needed for the heart shape and an extra logo would put readability at risk. In the default design the logo feature is available as usual.

Frequently asked questions about the QR code generator

Is this QR code generator really free?

Yes. You can create and download as many QR codes as you like, with no account, no sign up, no watermark and no cost. Commercial use of the generated codes is free as well.

Can I create a QR code in a heart shape?

Yes. Pick the heart under QR design. The code is then built as a heart and still is a complete, scannable QR code.

Does a heart QR code really scan?

Yes. The heart contains the full, unmodified QR matrix, only rotated by 45 degrees, and it uses the highest error correction level. Still, test the finished code once with your phone before printing large quantities.

Does the generated QR code ever expire?

No. The code carries your link directly and does not run through a redirect service. It keeps working as long as the target address is reachable.

How do I get the QR code as an SVG?

Set up your code and click Download SVG. You get a true vector file that scales to any size without quality loss, ideal for posters, banners and print shops.

Which size do I need for printing?

For cards and table signs 1000 to 2000 pixels as PNG is usually enough. For large format printing use the SVG file. As a rule of thumb the printed code should be at least 2 x 2 cm, and larger when people scan it from a distance.

Can I add my own logo?

Yes, in the default design. Enable the centre logo, upload your image as PNG, SVG or JPG and set the margin. In the heart design the logo feature is deliberately disabled so the code stays reliably readable.

Is my link or my data stored anywhere?

No. The QR code is calculated directly in your browser. The text you enter is not sent to a server and not stored.

Which colours work best?

What matters is strong contrast between foreground and background, and a dark code on a light background is the most reliable combination. Very light colours on white, or inverting light and dark, can make scanning harder.
