Google Drive backup for your event photos
An event album is a lovely place for photos and a poor place to keep them forever. Connect your Google Drive once and every picture your guests upload lands there as well, in your own account, under your own control.

You switch it on in your event's admin area and connect your Google account. From that moment every new photo and video is copied into your Drive as it arrives, without you doing anything.
Switched it on late? You can send everything already in the album across in one go, so the backup is complete rather than starting from today.
Your copy stays yours
EventPics never deletes anything in your Google Drive on its own. If a guest withdraws a photo, if you clear the album, or if a free event expires, your copy in Drive is untouched.
It is removed only when someone explicitly asks for that while deleting. The default is always that your backup survives.
What EventPics can and cannot see
The connection uses Google's restricted drive.file scope. In plain terms: EventPics only ever sees the files it put there itself. Your documents, your other photos, everything else in your Drive stays invisible to us.
Even its own uploads are neither changed nor removed afterwards. The permission is the narrowest one Google offers for this job, and it is the reason the connection is worth having rather than worrying about.
Why a backup matters here
A free event expires 28 days after the event date, and photos are deleted for good seven days after that. That is deliberate: nobody wants a stranger's wedding sitting on a server forever.
With the backup running, that deadline stops being frightening. The album can expire; your pictures are already where you keep the rest of your life.

Questions people ask
Does it cost anything? No. The backup is included, also on the free plan. It uses your own Google Drive storage.
Do guests need a Google account? No, only you. Guests upload as usual and never see anything about Drive.
Can I disconnect it again? Yes, at any time in the admin area. What was already copied stays in your Drive.
Are videos backed up too? Yes, photos and videos, in the quality they were uploaded in.
