Cancel your EventPics subscription

Your Premium subscription is managed by whoever you bought it from: Apple, Google Play or our payment provider Paddle. Cancelling takes less than a minute. Here is exactly where to find it.

Open the EventPics web app

First: where did you buy it?

This is the most common source of confusion, and it is the most important step, because you always cancel where you paid. The fastest way to find out is EventPics itself:

1Open EventPics

In the Android or iOS app, or in your browser at event.pics/w. Sign in with the account you used to buy the subscription.

2Pricing and plans

Open the menu on the left and tap “Pricing and plans”. Your active subscription is listed there. If you do not see one, you are only signed in anonymously: tap Log in / Register in the left menu.

3Read the provider

Your subscription shows the provider: Apple, Google or Paddle. The “Manage / cancel subscription” button takes you straight to the right place.

Rule of thumb if you cannot check: bought in the iPhone or iPad app → Apple. Bought in the Android app → Google Play. Bought in a browser → Paddle. When in doubt, the purchase confirmation in your inbox also helps: the sender reveals the provider.

Cancel by provider

Choose the provider you bought from.

Apple (iPhone / iPad)

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the very top (Apple Account).
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Select EventPics from the list.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

There is a shortcut inside EventPics: left menu → Pricing and plans → on your subscription tap Manage / cancel subscription. The button opens your Apple subscriptions directly.

Open Apple subscriptions

Google Play (Android)

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top right.
  3. Go to Payments and subscriptionsSubscriptions.
  4. Select EventPics.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription and confirm.

There is a shortcut inside EventPics: left menu → Pricing and plans → on your subscription tap Manage / cancel subscription. The button opens your Google Play subscriptions directly.

Open Google Play subscriptions

Paddle (bought in a browser)

This works in the web app exactly as it does in the Android and iOS app.

  1. Open EventPics: in your browser at event.pics/w, or in the Android or iOS app.
  2. Left menu → Pricing and plans.
  3. Find your subscription in the list and tap it.
  4. Tap Manage / cancel subscription. You land in the Paddle portal for your subscription.
  5. Choose Cancel subscription there and confirm.

No subscription in the list? Then you are only signed in anonymously. Tap Log in / Register in the left menu and sign in with the account you bought with.

You can also reach the portal through the Paddle purchase confirmation in your inbox.

What happens after cancelling?

Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, it simply is not renewed. After that a fixed schedule runs, and you get an email at every step:

1Subscription expires

You get an email. Your events stay for another 5 days. In that time you can download everything or extend.

2After 5 days: event expires

Second email: the event is released for deletion. From now on a 7 day recovery window runs.

3After 12 days: deletion

Once the recovery window also runs out, the event is permanently deleted with all photos and videos.

You can stop this at any time: if you subscribe again within those 12 days, all deadlines are lifted automatically and your events are active as normal. That also works with a different provider.

If you want to be safe, download your album as a ZIP first. Details on storage and expiry are on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions about cancelling

Can EventPics cancel my subscription for me?

No. Subscriptions are managed by Apple, Google or our payment provider Paddle, not by EventPics. Apple does not allow providers to cancel a subscription on a customer's behalf. Cancelling takes less than a minute though, and the steps above show exactly where.

How do I know where I bought it?

Open EventPics in the app or in your browser at event.pics/w and go to “Pricing and plans” in the left menu. Your subscription shows the provider. As a rule of thumb: bought in the iPhone or iPad app means Apple, in the Android app means Google Play, in a browser means Paddle.

Do I lose my photos if I cancel?

Not immediately, but they are not stored permanently afterwards. Everything stays active until the end of the paid period. 5 days after the subscription expires your event expires, then you have a 7 day recovery window. So 12 days in total, after which the event is permanently deleted with all photos and videos. You get an email at both steps. Download your album as a ZIP if you want to keep the pictures.

Can I still rescue my event after it expired?

Yes. After the event expires you have a 7 day recovery window. If you subscribe again in that time, all deletion deadlines are lifted and your event works as normal again.

When does my subscription end after I cancel?

At the end of the period you already paid for. Until then Premium stays active, it simply is not renewed.

Do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by the provider you bought from: Apple, Google Play or Paddle. EventPics cannot refund payments made through these providers itself.
